Hello fellow GUS users. I'm writing to find if the t7g-fix3.zip patch
for t7g has native GUS support or how to set it up to get better sound
than using sbos. Thank you for your time.

The GamePad is one and a half joysticks. It has the x-y pots and A and
B buttons for joystick 1, and the A and B buttons for joystick 2.
The Flightstick is also one and a half joysticks. It has the x-y pots
and A and B buttons for joystick 1, and the y pot for joystick 2.
The best way to use them together would be to plug the Flightstick into
game port 1. That way, the throttle control will be connected to the
y line of the 2 second port as required by flight sims. Then disable
the C and D buttons on the Gamepad and connect it to the second game
port on the y-splitter.

The joystick routines in Gravutil (and even Gravis' joystick SDK)
do not reliably read the joystick values on certain motherboards
(eg. mine). Disable the game port on your I/O card, plug your
joysticks to the GUS as suggested, and test them in a game. If they
work in the game, then you're fine and may ignore the erroneous
readings in the Gravis joystick utilities.

101-3750 North Fraser Way is the correct address. The MacPherson address
is their old office.

Subject: Mortal Komabat and MEGA-EM in general
First off, has anyone gotten Mortal Kombat for PC to work completely
with either sbos 2.10 or mega-em 2.? (whatever the first version w/
SB support is...)??? It works pretty good with SBOS.. But the
sounds are just a little off.. At least compred to a real SB.
Also, with mega-em, I can get the Roalnd support to work, BTW it
sounds AWESOME, but the SB support won't work. It gives me the
following message:
Unsupported Sound Blaster DSP Function: 00
What does that mean?? Because I would LOVE to use the SB & Roland
setting. Let me know! I dunno if another version of SBOS would
work better or what, but I would appreciate some help.
Jason Bottjen
P.S. I dunno if it is possible to use Ultramid with it or not.
MK has files in the dir of the type *.drv... But those obviously
not ADV files.. Someone with knowhow lemme know.. hehe

Subject: NHL Hockey..what's up with that?
Hey!
I downloaded the SBOS v3.7 or whatever and tried to get it load
with NHL Hockey with the -O4 option. It made all sorts of funny
sounds! Sounded like my computer was freaking out! I was just
wondering if anybody out there managed to get NHL Hockey to work with
the GUS set for Sound Blaster. What IRQs and DMAs or whatever it is
you did to get it to work OR...
What could I do to get it to work with Mega-Em...it requires all
that EMS...how could I configure the GUS and Mega-Em so that I could
use the Roland option in the game?
thanks!

Subject: OPTIC NERVE
Hi!
I have taken OPTICNRV.ZIP on EPAS, but when I want to run this demo, my computer reboot! With my original Config.sys (with QEMM) it says that I have to remove it: so the program seems to work.... and there's no CRC error in the ZIP file. Any idea?
My configuration: 486/DX2 66, ATI XL, 8 MB RAM, 450MB IDE/VLB
Help me!!!
Happy holidays and happy new year!

Hi guys,
In case there are some newbies who don't know,
PLEASE DON'T POST UUENCODED MESSAGES, there are
someone who are still unfortunate to get a higher

around since the release of Doom.
Thanks! Have a happy new year!

Subject: QG4 + gus
Well, I FINALLY got QG4 after UPS lost it... I was excited. I knew it
wouldn't work with the GUS in DOS because of the new 32-bit drivers they
wrote without writing one for the GUS. (bastards)
So I fired up the Windows version. It runs absolutely as slow as a
glacier on my non-VLB 386-40 4-meg system, AND it locks up every time I
turn around.
And the bestest part? I tried to run it in DOS mode with SBOS, and guess
what? That's right. The same damn crappy DOS4GW dos extender that kept
DOOM 1.0 from running on my system. Damn it all to hell, I'm so fed up
